Job description

We are currently seeking a Senior Human Resources Generalist with a minimum of 7 years HR generalist experience with a strong emphasis on employee relation’s activities, HR policy interpretation/application and HR program/project deployment, HR operations, local legislation and strong business partnership. This position will be responsible for assisting, supporting, and facilitating the delivery of services for HR, including participation in the development and practice of HR policy and process throughout the organization, reporting to the Head of Latam and US Hispanic.



Role summary & scope

· Human Resources Business Partners perform both hands-on and strategic roles in providing human resources expertise in employee relations, coaching/development, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, training and more. The HRBP team supports the business leaders & people managers on people-related topics. An HRBP contributes to the achievement and delivery of business plans through the delivery of effective people solutions and provides consultative services related people-related issues to the leaders & managers in his/her customer groups. HR Business Partners are also instrumental in initiating and driving HR programs/initiatives within those organizations, placing considerable focus on retention, scaling and culture issues.

· The role of the HRBP is to implement people strategies that support our business objectives and values. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about their work, show a high energy level and possess strong interpersonal and project management skills, and have previous experience in an Internet/Media/Technology company.

· We are seeking someone with a solid HR business partner background and able to function as a total partner to the business teams they supports from an HR perspective. The selected individual will be expected to lead cultural change, build internal business partnerships, and provide coaching to develop others, challenge the status quo and offer creative solutions to business issues.

Responsibilities:

· Provide the on going operations/tactical work with Union, Third part providers such as: Payroll, Benefits and Financial organizations.

· Manage all hiring, termination and probation documentation with third part vendor and the Union.

· Provide HR partnership to divisions within Yahoo Brazil, establishing a true business partner approach with line management.

· Help to translate business strategies/ and or corporate strategies into the appropriate people agenda and HR actions & initiatives, and drive and support its implementation.

· Manage strategic & change projects including reorganizations and restructure, analyzing and defining new jobs and other measures to improve the effectiveness of the organization

· Partner with the HR Corporate to continually evaluate and develop all employees within the organization. This would include career development, manager development and top talent management.

· Coach business leaders on issues of effective team building and organization effectiveness.

· Ensure proper implementation and execution of HR programs and initiatives.

· Advise and facilitate around people management, career development and training

· Develop and implement programs which foster sound employee relations and engagement

· Partner with internal resources to execute corporate wide HR initiatives and client specific programs

· Coach, challenge and support Management in their role in a range of strategic people-related HR processes, for example:

· Identification and monitoring of talent, key positions & succession plans;

· Analysis & planning of resourcing requirements and approach

· Partner with TA to drive and deliver talent requirements

· Decision taking on on-cycle and off-cycle promotion and bonus payments

· Individual performance discussions with employees

· Promote and drive the understanding of the adherence to Employee relations, policies, processes, reward levels and retention strategies.

· Compile monthly HR inputs to Finance within set deadlines

· Serve as a liaison to third party providers in the administration of employee Benefits Programs

· Act as the first point of contact for benefit queries

· Administer new joiners/leavers, schedule appointments in accordance with local requirements

· Manager, coach and train Human Resources interns.

Profile

. Minimum 5 - 7 years of HR generalist & business partner experience in a complex matrix environment

. Bachelor or Master Degree in Business, Management and Psychology

. MBA is a plus

. Human Resource experience in compensation & benefits administration,

. Demonstrated competence in the various HR functional areas: compensation; employee relations; management coaching; organizational development

. Experience working in a fast-paced, online or media organization is a plus

. Capable of quickly establishing HR's credibility with leaders

. Track record of success in an informal, "smart" environment providing effective, pragmatic, commercial and practical advice.

. Effective at influencing management & strong persuading skills

. Have outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written

. Thrives in an unstructured environment and requires minimal supervision

. Experienced navigating efficiently through a matrix organization

. Informal "roll up your sleeves and get it done" style that is people-centric, effective and marked by a high level of energy.

. Proactive in developing and effectively introducing alternatives to current HR practices as appropriate.
